By Emily On October 29, 2009 7 COMMENTs

I’m making educational website for primary school kids specifically year 5. I done research on usability, educational theories and primary research with kids. However am looking for some more practical advice from educators. I’m thinking of focusing on; English, Maths or Science as they all appear good areas for the children can experiments and build on skills. The software will be for groups of children to use and will use experiential learning. Does any one know any good software I can look at? Or reviews of software? I have looked at Organ Trail Also what features would you personal like to find and of course why? Also any advice will be welcome.
I will of course be using some knowledge of linguistic and a spell checker, as I am dyslexic.

Have you asked the kids about what they might like to see on there. Also, just like "Adult Education", keep it simple

Even with supervision? if you feel there is, than what about when the military trains people to become counselors, and they counsel even thought they do not have a degree? And i know this because my father was in the military and that was his job and he never finished getting his BA. Here is the class description of undergrad practicum:

experiential learning can be conceived of as a
four-stage cycle that starts with

b. act on a current action theory.
c. reflection and reformulation.
d. obtaining feedback.

…..d. obtaining feedback

You have to have information about your actions before you reflect on them, and then act based on your learning

Relocating to Memphis area June?

By Emily On October 20, 2009 1 COMMENT

Would like to know about any homeschooling options for 8th and 10th graders. Need flexibility to travel–3 musician brothers. Like the idea of experiential learning, from within, sustainable living, philanthropic thinking, spiritual minded-less religious based–similar to Montessori thought that learning occurs everywhere and from within.
Just starting to research online courses and need to research Miss. and TN law.
Any advice?
